RCIABack to Top

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process through which adult men and women come to approach the Catholic Church for the first time and respond to God's call to faith.

RCIA is also available for Catholics (high school or adult) who wish to complete their initiation into the Church with Confirmation.

Starting in September, RCIA sessions are offered on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Motsett Center. The RCIA process culminates with entry into the church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist during the Easter Vigil.

For more information, contact Fr. Greg Nelson at 442-5313.

(PSR) Parish School of Religion Back to Top

This religion instruction program consists of classes for children from kindergarden through eight grade who are not enrolled at St. Paul's Grade School. This includes preparation for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. (Children enrolled in the grade school are part of our school program.)

Classes met from September through May on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00p.m. at St. Paul’s Grade School.

For more information, call Jennifer Martindill, Coordinator of Religious Education at 442-5313.

Baptism Preparation Back to Top

A baptism preparation class is required for parents (or guardians) prior to the baptism of their first child.

Parents of those awaiting the sacrament of Baptism must contact St. Paul’s parish office (442-5313) to request this ministry. This may be done prior to the birth of the child. The parents will then be contacted and a time will be arranged for the class. If possible, the class will be scheduled at the convenience of the parents.

Marriage Preparation Back to Top

Engaged couples planning a wedding at St. Paul’s should contact the parish office at least six months in advance of the proposed wedding date. They must participate in the diocesan wedding preparation program. The parish office has information on the entire program. The local component makes use of FOCCUS. This is reviewed with a married couple in the privacy of the married couple’s home.

Contact the Parish Office at 442-5313 to start the process.
